Since 1984, Plaatboef has been a household name in Utrecht.
A fresh restart in 2024 brought new energy to the store and resulted in a carefully curated selection of new and second hand music. Plaatboef Utrecht is for everyone with a curious mind and a love of discovering music. We regularly host instore sessions, collaborate with local creative communities, and recently launched Plaatboef Radio. Always welcome for a cup of coffee!

Plaatboef Utrecht is open seven days a week from 10:00/12:00 until 18:00. We welcome you at Oudegracht 306 in Utrecht. A 10 minutes walk from Utrecht Centraal

Plaatboef is the place for the die hard or casual collector, digger & DJ. From collector’s items to 1 euro bargains.

In the store we got more than 20.000 records and thousands of cds varying in the genres of jazz, blues, soul, funk, disco, pop, hip hop, reggae, punk, wave, garage, metal, country, soundtracks, world music, african, neo soul, metal and more.

Plaatboef is specialized in all types of electronic Music like all sorts of house & techno, electro, trance, downtempo, triphop, breakbeat, drum&bass, ambient, ebm. We got thousands of 12 inches. Mostly second hand. Every week we add titles in the bins.
